Devin T. Theriot-Orr

Devin Theriot-Orr is a partner at Open Sky Law where his practice focuses on litigation, removal defense, asylum, naturalization, and family-based immigration. He specializes in unraveling complicated immigration cases.

Before starting Open Sky Law with Neha Vyas in 2019, Devin operated a successful solo immigration practice called Sunbird Law for several years. Prior to his solo practice, he was an Associate Attorney at Gibbs Houston Pauw where he similarly focused his practice on complex immigration matters. Devin graduated with high honors from the University of Washington School of Law and received his B.A. in Physics from Oberlin College.

Devin frequently presents at regional and national immigration law conferences and has also provided expert testimony regarding U.S. immigration law matters for tribunals in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Devin has been class counsel in many class action lawsuits seeking to secure and protect the rights of immigrants in the United States. Devin is an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law where he has taught immigration law.

Devin enjoys sailing, traveling, hiking, and spending time with his partner and two rambunctious children.
